July 1-7, 2012 -- Plans are underway. An official HSP website coming soon. Adult Work Team Training Day: May 16th 10 - Noon at Highland UMC.
July 1-7, 2012
Highland Service Project (HSP) offers High School students and adult leaders a week of serving those in need through home repair. Our goal is for Christ to open teens eyes to the needs of people ‘in their own back yards,’ and see that they don’t have to travel around the world to help God’s people.
HSP is centered around work teams and worship. Monday through Friday of camp, work teams go around Wake County to repair floors, roofs, decks, and stairs for homes in desperate need. Often, teams get to know the families living in these homes. In the evenings, we come back together for fun and worship.
Adult Work Team Training Day
May 16, 10am-12pm -- at Highland United Methodist Church, 1901 Ridge Rd., Raleigh, NC 27607.
Learn skills as a work team leader of teens: building homes, building lives. This workshop is mandatory for first time adults coming to camp, and strongly recommended for returning leaders.
