UMW General Meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 6th, at 11:00 am, in the Conference Room. Oie Osterkamp, author of the children’s book Being a Sharefish in a Selfish World, will present the program. He will speak about Sharefish, an organization committed to improving the lives of of children in southern Honduras (one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere). Circle 7 will provide lunch following the program. All women of the church are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Highland UMW will host the UMW Mission Study at Highland UMC on Saturday, March 10th. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00 am. The program “Haiti: Challenges and Hopes” presented by Jim Lee will begin at 9:00 am.

Circle 1 will meet Monday, February 13th at 9:30 am, to work in Highland’s Community Garden. If the weather does not permit working outside, the meeting will move inside to the Conference Room where Cullen Whitley will be an integral part of the program discussing how the garden has impacted the community. All women of the church are very welcome to attend!

Circle 2/3 will meet Monday, February 6th, at 10:00 am in the Parlor. The program will be a study of Adam Hamilton’s book, 24 Hours That Changed the World.

Circle 7 will meet Monday, February 6th, at 6:00 pm for dinner at the Barking Cow, Lake Boone Shopping Center and at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room to make valentines for our homebound UMC members. Please bring your scissors and any trim supplies you may have for valentine cards.

Circle 8 will meet Tuesday, February 14th, at 2:00 pm, in the Parlor. A study of Parables From the Backside written by J. Ellsworth Kalas will be the program.
