The May 7-11 trip planned by Nancy Cabe Tours to the Hudson River Valley area has 33 fully paid participants. Please note that the motorcoach will arrive in the HUMC parking lot for boarding at 6:00 a.m., Monday May 7, and will depart at 6:30 a.m. The return trip on May 11 will involve an all-day drive and the arrival time at HUMC will probably be after 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday, June 12 - Day Trip to Tobacco Farm Life Museum, Kenly, NC, and Ava Gardner Museum, Smithfield NC
A day-trip in the church bus is planned to visit the Tobacco Farm Life Museum in Kenly, NC at 9:30 a.m. on June 12, 2012. This will be followed with lunch at Holt Lake Bar-B-Que & Seafood at 11:15 a.m. After lunch, we will visit the Ava Gardner Museum in Smithfield, NC. The museum costs are $7.00 and $6.00, respectively; cost for the lunch will be $6-10. The church bus will load in the church parking lot at 8:15 a.m. and depart promptly at 8:30 a.m. Please sign up at the reception desk.

Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - Luncheon with Louise Benner, former curator at the Museum of History, who will present "Guns and Gowns: Annie Oakley's North Carolina Connection."

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - Luncheon with Kimberly Elks, Stroke Coordinator at Wake Med, who will discuss health issues affecting seniors.

Tuesday, November 13, 2012 - Luncheon with Gene Furr, former News & Observer photographer, who will provide a very interesting presentation on his outstanding animal photography.

A fall getaway trip is planned with Nancy Cabe Tours for late October, probably the week of October 28. Stay tuned for details!
