Kate Traud is our full-time Finance Office Assistant. Kate is responsible for the processing of contributions, accounts payable, and payroll for the church. She is also responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll for Highland Children’s Center.

Kate graduated from Wake Technical Community College with a degree in Accounting. She is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has lived in North Carolina since 1997. She is married and has three children. Her husband, Ron, is employed at Nortel in RTP. Kate’s oldest son, Ron, is a second year law student at UNC-CH and is married. Kate’s daughter, Emily, lives in Virginia and is employed by Virginia Tech University and is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Accounting. Kate’s youngest son, Jason, is attending NC State University, majoring in Electrical Engineering, with an expected graduation date of May 2010.

Before serving at Highland United Methodist Church, Kate was employed as an Office Manager for two small businesses in Raleigh. Prior to that, Kate was employed by Nortel in the role of Project and Office Support.
