Anita Taylor joined the Highland staff as the Director of Children’s Ministry in February of 2007. After growing up in a military family and moving all over the country, Anita finally found some roots in Virginia while attending Virginia Tech. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering, she has worked as an analytical chemist, an adhesive scientist, a high school math teacher, and has been a stay-at-home mom. Anita and her husband, Jason, became members of Highland in March 2002. After serving in a variety of ways, Anita answered God’s call to full-time ministry. She loves to share the Good News with all of Highland’s Children and knows that her own two girls will be able to experience and know God as they grow up at Highland. In her spare time, Anita loves to cook, ride horses, run, and read.
